 Family Law Information Line

PLEIS-NB offers a toll-free family law information line in both French and English.

We give legal information about family law and related services in New Brunswick. This includes general information about legal rules, terms, and court procedures. We cover topics like divorce, parenting time, decision-making responsibility, child support, spousal support, support enforcement, domestic violence, and more.

We do not provide legal advice over the Family Law Information Line. If you need specific legal advice about your situation, please contact a lawyer.

Monday 8:30am – 4:30pm
Tuesday 8:30am – 4:30pm
Wednesday  8:30am – 6:00pm
Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm
Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm

You can leave a voicemail if there is no one available to take your call. In your message, please tell us the best time to reach you and whether it is okay for us to leave a message when we return your call. We won’t leave a voicemail without this explicit consent.

We will try to return your call within 1-2 business days.

We operate the Family Law Information Line in partnership with the Department of Justice and Public Safety.
