Family Law Workshops

Information for Lawyers

The success of this family law workshop project is made possible by the volunteer participation of the family law bar, the Pro Bono Law Student Programs at University of New Brunswick and Université de Moncton, as well as the support of the Law Society of New Brunswick, the Canadian Bar Association-NB Branch, and Court Services Branch, New Brunswick Department of Justice.

Below, you can learn more about becoming a presenter. We encourage you to participate. The first step is to complete the online “presenter's registration form”. We look forward to working with YOU!

  • Becoming a presenter

PLEIS-NB is recruiting family law lawyers, as well as pro bono law students, to conduct classes. These workshops will be held in the evening. They will last about 2-3 hours.

Presenters will receive the following support from PLEIS-NB:

    • Training binder on the use of the workshop modules to deliver classes
    • Flash drive with Power Point presentations for all core modules and topical modules. The PPT modules include hyperlinks to online fillable, annotated family law forms.
    • Contract with terms of reference for becoming an instructor
    • Evaluation forms for participants to complete
    • Presenter's evaluation form
    • Videos for use in some of the classes
    • Package of family law resources and handouts for participants
    • Other resources as required such as display copies of self help guides
  • Recruitment Materials
